Pharmacology and Applications:Amantadine hydrochloride (Amantadine Hydrochloride ,8-38)is a symmetric three-ring amine, can interfere that viral penetration into host cells, and affect the virus shelling, inhibit their reproduction, function on the viral infection. Amantadine hydrochloride can increase the release of dopamine and delay neuronal reuptake of dopamine.Amantadine to alleviate tremor and rigidity of its good results. Obvious effect present to 48h after administration,reach its peak after 2 weeks. In addition, there is the role with anti-influenza virus in Asia A-II, can prevent the virus penetrate into respiratory epithelial cells. But for other respiratory viral infections, including influenza B and parainfluenza virus infection would be having no effect. Indications: Asia A-II-type influenza virus caused respiratory infections. Livestock and poultry influenza virus and porcine transmissible gastroenteritis virus has a good effect.
