Pharmacology actions: the antibacterial activity of levofloxacin is about twice that of ofloxacin, and its main mechanism is inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase (bacterial topoisomerase ) activity, stoping bacterial DNA replication. Levofloxacin is a broad spectrum antimicrobial activity. It have a strong antibacterial activity for the majority of Enterobacteriaceae, such as Escherichia coli, Klebsiella spp, Serratia, Proteus, Shigella, Salmonella , Citrobacter, Acinetobacter, Pseudomonas, Haemophilus influenzae, Neisseria gonorrhoeae and other Gram-negative bacteria.
